Î Click Save configuration.
The message Configuration saved successfully! appears.

8.4 Changing the password

In order to change the password, proceed as follows:
Î In the main menu Device config, select the sub-menu Users.
The Change password tab opens.
Î Tick the Change password checkbox.
Î Enter the current password into the Current password input field.
The factory setting for the password is admin.
Î Enter the new password into the New password input field.
Î Enter the new password into the Repeat new password input field.
Î Click Save configuration.
The message Configuration saved successfully! appears.

8.5 Changing the device name

Note
Choose a descriptive device name to facilitate identifying the KM1 Com-
munication module in the network.
In order to change the device name, proceed as follows:
Î In the main menu Device Config, select the sub-menu General.
Î On the General Configuration tab, enter the device name in the Device
Name input field.
Permitted characters are: letters, numbers, underscores.
Special characters are not allowed.
Î In the Default Language dropdown menu, select the desired language.
Î Click Save configuration.
The message Configuration saved successfully! appears.
8.6 Configuring automatic firmware update settings
The firmware is the internal software of the KM1 Communication module. Through
firmware updates, the software will be improved in the following ways:
• Extended functional range
• Enhanced operation
• Customisation of the web interface desktop
When automatic firmware updates are enabled (strongly recommended), the KM1
Communication module will search for new firmware versions in regular intervals.
Note
Previous configurations are not affected by a firmware update.
In order to configure firmware updates, proceed as follows:
Î In the main menu Device Config, select the submenu General.
Î On the Firmware update tab, in the Automatic update query enabled?
input field, select Yes.
Î Enter the Update URL.
Factory setting: http://www.vbus.net/api/update.
Î Click Save configuration.
The message Configuration saved successfully! appears.
Note
Only change the firmware update URL if required, and consult the system
administrator before doing so!
If a firmware update is available, it will be displayed after the login in the Login
successful window.
Î Click on Click here to proceed.
Î In order to start the update process, click on Click here to download.
The update file will be downloaded.
Î In order to install the update, click on Upload.
Î Select the upload file firmware.cbor and click on open.
The update file will be loaded.
Î Extract the file.
Î In order to run the update, click on Install update.
Î If you do not wish to run the update, click on Discard update.
If the update has been installed, the device will restart.
