Product Overview

Intended Use

Philips autoclavable temperature probes are reusable devices used to
continuously monitor patient body temperature during clinical care. The
probes are available in several configurations that can be applied to the
patient orally, rectally, or attached to the skin. (Note: core temperature
readings are normally different than skin temperature readings in the same
patient.)
These probes should be applied to a patient only under direct supervision
of a licensed physician or healthcare provider, and connected only to
compatible patient monitors (see Compatibility below). The probes are
shipped non-sterile. It is recommended that each probe be cleaned,
disinfected and inspected for damage before use.
Measurement Range and Accuracy
Temperature accuracy of these probes at the site of measurement is:
• + 0.2°C within the temperature range of 0°C to 60°C
• + 0.1°C within the temperature range of 25°C to 45°C.
Compatibility
Six temperature probe models are available (see table below). All are
compatible with patient monitors that use 400-Series technology.
