• The edges of the A-Frame Pulley Wheel are not fully en-
closed. To avoid damaging the rope or adding unwanted
friction to the system, it is essential that the rope running
into and out of the Pulley Wheel is correctly aligned.
• Do not couple more than four (4) leg sections (three Outer
plus one Inner Leg) together on any one leg.
• Check the ball-lock pins after insertion to ensure they are
completely inserted and the locking balls are fully extend-
ed and locked.
• Vortex is limited to a 2 person load.
VORTEX USED FOR FALL ARREST
• The user shall be equipped with a means of limiting the
maximum dynamic forces exerted on the user during the
arrest of a fall to a maximum of 6 kN
• When used as a Directional Frame, the full magnitude of
force from the load is transmitted through the Vortex to
the anchors attached to the structure.
• When the Vortex is used in accordance with EN 795 as a
personal fall protection anchor, the Vortex shall not be
used for lifting equipment.
