Turning on the ClearReader

To turn on the ClearReader , press the round Power button on
the right-hand side. The start-up process will take approximately
+
40 seconds when the ClearReader is powered down completely.

You will hear a series of beeps to indicate that the ClearReader
is starting up followed by the start-up sound. Now the Power
+
indicator is lid up and the ClearReader is ready to use. If you
+
turn on the ClearReader from the standby mode the start-up
process will take approximately 10 seconds. Therefore, it is
recommended to switch to standby mode instead of turning off
the unit completely.

Standby mode

A short press of the Power button will put the ClearReader into standby mode. The power down
+
sound will be played, the Power indicator will start blinking and the ClearReader will go to
standby mode. In standby mode only a small amount of electrical power is consumed.

On batteries the standby time of the ClearReader is approximately 40 hours. After 40 hours the
+
ClearReader will power down. Please note that switching to standby mode takes approximately
+
12 seconds and the ClearReader will not react to any button press during this time.
