7.9. I
NTEGRATED RETRACTABLE LEG REST
This accessory is designed in order to allow, during a visit, procedures which require the elongation of the patient legs. It allows
to temporarily transform the chair into an examination bed.
The presence of this accessory can be specified only at the moment of the order.

FIG. 12
If present, the leg rest section is housed under the seat.
UNFOLDING.
Grab the front border of the leg rest and extract it by completely extending its guides (1).
Once the guides are completely extended, raise slightly the front border and continue the movement (2) in order to toggle the
lifting mechanism.
Press the lever on the leg rest guides (L) and at the same time push gently the leg rest to the seat section, until the first
mechanical stop is reached, near its final position (3).
FOLDING.
Once the examination is concluded, and if there is any necessity to unload the patient, it is necessary to place the leg rest back
into its housing:
Move gently the leg rest away from the seat, until a locking sound is heard (4).
Drive gently the leg rest (5) to its housing under the seat, and fold the mechanism until a locking sound is heard.
CAUTION.
The following operations could damage the equipment:
Overload the leg rest (e.g., by a person sitting on the front side);
Let the patient get on or off while the leg rest is horizontal;
Activate the chair lowering movement while an obstacle is under the leg rest section.
WARNING.
Keep clear the area in front of the chair, under the leg rest.
7.10. P
ATIENT SIDE HANDLES
Upon request, while ordering, the chair may be fitted with a pair of handles, that have a double function:
To allow the patient to hold better during the chair movements;
To house the transfusion armrest (see paragraph 7.12).
The handles could be rotated downwards, in order to allow an easier access to patient area if the operator is near the side of the
chair.
To lower the handles, pull them outward and rotate them by 180°.
NOTE.
Patient handles are not available if the chair is provided with motorised leg rest supports.
7.11. S
IDE INSTRUMENTS HOLDER
Upon request, at the moment of the order, the chair may be fitted with a pair of lateral supports, designed to house various
instruments.
