2.1. I
NTENDED USE
The product described by this manual is a patient chair for gynaecological use. The equipment is designed for lifting and holding
the patient in a proper working position during gynaecological examinations and therapies.
It may be used by specialists in private clinics, hospital structures or specialized wards.
The apparatus requires the use of a compliant electrical installation, as specified in the section "installation". It is not advised for
usage in close proximity with devices which monitor patient vital functions.
WARNING.
The equipment was developed and manufactured only for gynecological use. Any other use is prohibited.
It is furthermore prohibited to perform any modification of the equipment or its parts, without explicit written
authorization of the manufacturer.
NOTE.
The product has been designed to maintain the performance indicated in this manual during the service life, even
in critical conditions specified by the standards. Any temporary deterioration (e.g., oscillations of the display in the
case of electrical interference) will not compromise the device function.
2.2. G
ENERAL FEATURES
2.2.1. Basic version.
A gynecological chair model SERENITY NEXT presents the following functions:

Symmetric chair, for improved user versatility;

Fixed base with levelling feet;
▪
Fully electro-mechanical movements, independent raising / lowering, backrest leaning, Trendelenburg and patient loading
assistance (anti-Trendelenburg);
▪
Soft start/soft stop;
▪
Mechanical safety stop on the backrest;
▪
External paper roll holder, width 600 mm;
▪
Push-button hand-held panel;
▪
Moulded upholstery, free of seams;
▪
Leatherette with anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties;
▪
Low voltage controls (5 V);
▪
Removable liquid containment basin in stainless steel.
2.2.2. Accessories.
The chair can also be equipped with different accessories, depending on the working needs of the professional, as well as the
comfort needs of the patient to be treated. In detail, the following optionals are available:

Operator foot rest;
▪
Side instruments holders;
▪
Base with wheels (for short distance movements e.g. during cleaning operations);
▪
Foot control with display;
▪
Memorized work positions (n°3+1 Program x n° 3 profiles), available only with foot control;
▪
Automatic return to the patient exit position, available only with foot control;
▪ "SLOW MODE" setting, available only with foot control;
▪
Fire retardant and antistatic upholstery;
▪
Magnetic cushion;
▪
Patient side handles (movable);
▪
Integrated extractable leg rest, for examination bed use;
▪
Removable leg supports, with under thigh (Göpel) holder;
▪
Removable leg supports, with under feet holder;
▪
Motorised leg supports, with under feet holder;
▪ "Quick Release" system, for backrest section lowering;
