7.1. F
OOT CONTROL WITH DISPLAY
The SERENITY NEXT chairs can be equipped, upon request while
ordering, with a foot control (shown in figure 8) that allows a more
advanced use of the product. In addition to let the professional have
his hands free and to show possible error messages, it allows multiple
functions:
Automatic return to the patient exit position ("zero");
Programmable working positions;
Work profiles;
"SLOW MODE" setting.
7.1.1.
Basic movements.
RAISING AND LOWERING.
The symbol on the left identifies the movement.
Keep the lower key pressed to lower the chair.
Keep the upper key pressed to raise the chair.
BACKREST INCLINATION.
The symbol on the left identifies the movement.
Keep the lower key pressed to raise the back section.
Keep the upper key pressed to lower the back section.
TRENDELENBURG AND LOADING ASSISTANCE (ANTI-TRENDELENBURG).
The symbol on the left identifies the movement.
Keep the lower key pressed to incline the upper part of the chair forwards.
Keep the upper key pressed to incline the upper part of the chair backwards.
PROGRAMS.
Tap one of the keys P1 or P2 or P3 and the chair will automatically return to the programmed working position.
Tap the Ø key and the chair will automatically return to the patient exit position.
NOTE.
To distinguish between "keep pressed" and "tap", the controller needs a delay of approximately 0.5 seconds.
NOTE.
Any switch, if pushed during an automatic movement, works like a safety stop.
7.1.2.
Programming.
1.
Set the chair to the patient exit position by tapping the Ø button on the foot control.
2.
Configure the chair to the desired position by activating the corresponding foot controls (see paragraph 7.1.1).
Press the key shown on the left and, within 8 seconds, press the key "P1" or "P2" or "P3".
3.
An acoustic signal ("BEEP") indicates that the work position has been memorized.
Every time that the controls "P1", "P2" or "P3" are tapped, the chair will automatically configure to the pre-programmed working
position.
NOTE.
To avoid losing the programmed position, it is recommended to regularly set the chair to its "zero" position, by using
the " Ø " function at any patient change.
7.1.3.
Work profiles.
The key indicated in the figure enables the selection of three work profiles.
Tap the key to switch between three work profiles: for each profile it is possible to memorize three work positions
(corresponding to the keys P1, P2 and P3). Pressing the key permits access to the successive profiles before even-
tually returning to the first one.
The foot control display shows the selected profiles (USER1, USER2, USER3), while the transition of each profile is indicated by
a single acoustic signal ("BEEP").
