Once the wheelchair is assembled and adjusted, it should
roll smoothly and easily. All accessories should also
perform correctly.
If you have any problems, follow these procedures:
Review assembly and adjustment sections to make
sure the chair was properly prepared.
Review troubleshooting guide.
You will need to adjust your chair from time to time for
best performance, especially if you alter the original
settings. The chart below gives you initial solutions.
Work from the left of the chart to the right, if needed, you
may need to look farther to find the best solution for a
specific problem.
To keep track of your progress, make only ONE
change at a time.
If your problem persists, contact your authorized
supplier. If you still have a problem after contacting
your authorized supplier, contact Sunrise Medical

TYRES AND MOUNTING

With pneumatic tyres make sure that you maintain the
correct tyre pressure, as this can have an effect on
wheelchair performance. If the tyre pressure is too low,
rolling resistance will increase, requiring more effort to
move the chair forward. Low tyre pressure also has a
negative impact on manoeuvrability. If the tyre pressure is
too high, the tyre could burst. The correct pressure for a
given tyre is printed on the surface of the tyre itself.
Tyres can be mounted the same way as an ordinary
bicycle tyre. Before installing a new inner tube, you should
always make sure that the base of the rim and the interior
of the tyre are free of foreign objects. Check the pressure
after mounting or repairing a tyre. It is critical to your
safety and to the wheelchair's performance that regulation
air pressure be maintained and that tyres be in good
condition.
