1.10. Protection of remote aerial modems against overloads
It is sometimes necessary to protect the product against lightning. When the product is positioned high up it can potentially be struck by
lightning which results in irreversible damage to the product. All lightning arrester systems can be installed between the aerial and the ARF868
modem (products with remote aerials). It is important to follow the manufacturer's recommendations. The diagram below shows an example of
a lightning arrester installation.
