MACHINE START AND STOP

Starting the machine

1. Sit on the driver's seat (29) and, if it is necessary for an easier access to the machine, push the lever (85) and tilt the
steering column (31) forward.
2. Push the lever (85) forward and tilt the steering column (31) forward or backward, to reach a comfortable position. Then
release the lever (85) and lock the steering column.
3. Turn the ignition key (72) to "II" and do not press the pedal (5), then release it; it will go back to "I". Check that the green
warning light (75) turns on (charged battery). If the yellow or red warning light (73 or 74) turns on, turn the ignition key back
to "0" and charge the batteries (see the procedure in Maintenance chapter).
4. Disengage the parking brake.
5. Drive the machine to the working area, by keeping the hands on the steering wheel and pressing the pedal (5) on the front
side to move forward and on the rear side to move backward. The drive speed can be adjusted from zero to maximum
speed by increasing the pressure on the pedal (5).
NOTE
The driver's seat (29) is equipped with a safety sensor, which allows the machine to be moved with the pedal (5) only
when the operator is on the driver's seat.
6. Turn on the main broom and the vacuum fan by pressing the switch (79) forward.
7. Turn on the vacuum system by lowering the lever (3).
8. Lower the side brooms (13 and 14) by lowering the lever (4).
NOTE
The side brooms (13 and 14) can be lowered and lifted even when the machine is moving. The side brooms do not
turn when lifted, they turn only when lowered.
9. Start sweeping by turning the steering wheel (1) and moving the machine forward by pressing the pedal (5).

Stopping the machine

1. To stop the machine release the pedal (5).
To stop the machine quickly, also press the service brake pedal (6).
In case of emergency, press the emergency push-button (82) to immediately stop the machine. To deactivate the
emergency push-button (82), turn it clockwise.
2. Lift the side brooms (13 and 14) with the lever (4).
3. To turn off the main broom and the vacuum fan, turn the switch (79) to "0" (central) position.
4. To stop the machine, turn the ignition key (72) to "0".

PARKING BRAKE

1. Engage the parking brake according to the following procedure:
• Press the pedal (6) as necessary, then engage the brake by turning the lever (7) from (7b) position to (7a) position.
• Release the pedal (6).
2. Disengage the parking brake according to the following procedure:
• Press the pedal (6) and turn the lever (7) from (7a) position to (7b) position.
• Release the pedal (6).
WARNING!
Before performing any maintenance, repair, cleaning or replacement procedure engage the parking brake.
Engage the parking brake when parking the machine on a slope or incline.
