The IKAR HL machine is type-tested and approved for lifting and lowering loads in accordance with
European Directive 2006/42/EC.
Please note: The corresponding operating and maintenance instructions for the installed sub-machines
of type IKAR DB-A..., type IKAR AASS-(....), IKAR ASS- (... ), IKAR ALKO type 901 should also be
observed.
1.
Disregarding the instruction(s) can be fatal.
2.
A rescue plan that takes all potential emergencies in work-related scenarios into consideration
should be in place.
3.
The machine may only be used and operated by persons who have received the respective training
and who possess the requisite expertise. All factors that might impair a person's physical state must
be eliminated (e.g. alcohol, narcotics or medicine related, circulatory problems)!
4.
Vertical and stable set-up of the suspension device is essential for the safety of the machine.
Caution: Mobile suspension devices should never be used on oily or otherwise slippery surfacess.
5.
The device should be positioned as vertically as possible above the opening to prevent a diagonal
pull.
6.
The legibility of the product labels should be checked and a visual inspection for obvious defects of
the machine and its mounted parts should be performed before each use.
7.
If there are any doubts about the safe working state of the machine or one of its mounted parts,
it should be taken out of use and presented to an expert authorised by the manufacturer or to the
manufacturer. The machine may only be put back into use after written approval by the expert.
8.
The nominal load of the lifting unit is 300 kg in the uppermost and lowermost position and should
not be exceeded.
9.
The stop devices of the suspension device are approved in accordance with EN 795 type B:
2012 for securing and rescuing 1 person and in accordance with CEN/TS 16415: 2013 for max. 2
persons.
10. The brake function of the lifting unit should be checked before each use, a click should be audible
when turning in the "Lift" direction.
Please note: The minimum tensile force for fault-free functioning of the brake is 30kg; if this
minimum load is not ensured, the braking force will not take effect.
11. Never grip the wire rope without protective gloves. Do not reuse a damaged wire rope.
12. Prevent slack from forming in the rope during lowering.
13. Do not route the steel rope of the lifting unit over sharp edges.
14. Do not transport persons.
15. Do not remain below suspended loads.
16. Do not wrap the hoisting rope around the load.
17. Always ensure direct or indirect visual contact with the transported load during hoisting. If the
operator cannot track the movement of the load, communication with a signaller should be ensured.
18. DGUV Regulation V54 (BGV D8) should be observed.
19. The machine and its components should be tested by an expert authorised by the manufacturer
in accordance with the application conditions, the maintenance intervals and operational
circumstances, but no less than once a year. This should be documented in the enclosed
component test logs. The durability of the machine depends on regular inspections.
20. The machine and its components should be used in a temperature range from -20 to +50°.
