Making latte macchiato
1. Prepare the device as described in the chapter "Start-up".
2. Check whether there is enough water in the water tank (13) and enough milk in the
milk tank (7); fi ll them if necessary.
3. Choose whether you would like to make a latte macchiato with a single or double
espresso and select a suitable fi lter (14+15) that you insert in the fi lter holder (19).
4. Fill the fi lter holder (19) with espresso and insert it in the device.
5. Select a suitable latte macchiato cup and place it on the cup grate (9) under the
espresso spout.
6. Set the milk nozzle (6) so that it points directly into the cup!
7. Use the milk nozzle adjustment mechanism (5) to set how much frothed milk you
would like to use. Turn the knob to the left for only a little milk and to the right for a
large quantity of milk. You can adjust the milk nozzle adjusting mechanism any time
during the brewing process.
8. Use the On/Off switch to switch the device on and wait until the LED indicator (2)
continuously illuminates.
9. Push the Latte button once if you would like a single latte macchiato and twice if you
would like a double latte macchiato. The LED indicators on the Latte button will show
whether you have selected a single or double espresso. The device will promptly
start the brewing process. The LED indicator (2) will blink during the brewing process.
10. Wait until espresso stops coming out of the espresso spout (18) or no more milk is
dispensed from the milk nozzle and the LED indicator (2) is continuously illuminated.
You can now remove your latte macchiato. NOTE: You can interrupt the brewing pro-
cess at any time by pushing the Latte button again.
If, after preparing your beverage, you notice that you need more frothed milk, you
can add more frothed milk to your beverage: To do so, hold the Cappuccino button
down for three seconds. Frothed milk will be dispensed from the milk nozzle (6).
ATTENTION: The milk frothing function will not stop automatically! Push
the cappuccino button again to stop the supply of milk.
11. After use switch the device off and disconnect the mains plug from the socket.

Frothed milk

You can froth milk with the device without having to make espresso (e.g. for chai latte or
hot chocolate):
1. Fill the milk tank (7) with milk if necessary.
2. Place the beverage you need milk for on the cup grate (9). Position the milk noz-
zle (6) so that it points directly into the cup.
3. Use the On/Off switch to switch the device on and wait until the LED indicator (2)
continuously illuminates.
4. Hold the Cappuccino button down for approx. three seconds until the LED indica-
tor (2) blinks and both LED indicators of the Cappuccino button illuminate. Frothed
milk will be dispensed from the milk nozzle (6). If applicable, use the milk nozzle
adjustment mechanism (5) to adjust the quantity of milk.
5. ATTENTION: The milk frothing function will not stop automatically! Push the
Cappuccino button again to stop the supply of milk.
6. Always switch the device off and disconnect the mains plug from the socket if you
are not using it.
