Each time before brewing, select a cup of suitable size:
Espresso
Cappuccino
Latte macchiato
1. Always place a cup of suitable size on the collecting tray (8). If you use larger cups
for cappuccino or latte macchiato, place it on the cup grate (9) under the espresso
spout (18).
ATTENTION! Make sure that the milk nozzle is always pointing into the cup if
you would like to prepare cappuccino or latte macchiato.
2. Pull the cup grate for small cups (10) out of the device if you are using small espresso
cups or small coffee cups.
3. Slide the raised cup grate (10) into the device once you are done using it.
H. Connecting and activating the device
Once the device and the water tank (13) have been fully assembled as well as, if neces-
sary, the milk tank (7) has been fi lled, you can connect the device to the mains.
1. Connect the device to a properly installed socket that corresponds to the device's
technical data. Make sure that the cable does not get pinched or kinked and does not
come into contact with hot surfaces.

1. Insert the fi lter holder (19) in the device so that the handle
of the fi lter holder and the open lock symbol on the device
are aligned.
2. Then turn the fi lter holder (19) towards the closed lock
symbol on the device. The handle and the lock symbol
must be aligned. Check the position of the fi lter holder each
time after inserting it before you start the brewing process.
ATTENTION: Make sure that you do not inadvertently
touch the milk nozzle when inserting the fi lter holder
as it could be hot!

2. The On/Off switch is located on the side of the device (see
fi gure). Move the switch to position I to turn the device
on. The LED indicator (2) will blink until the device has
reached the operating temperature. Once the LED indi-
cator is continuously illuminated, the brewing process can
start.
3. If you would like to switch off the device after the brewing
process, set the On/Off switch to position 0.
