D. Inserting the fi lter in the fi lter holder
• If you would like to prepare a single espresso / cappuccino / latte macchiato,
use the small fi lter for a single espresso (14).
• If you would like to prepare a double espresso / cappuccino / latte macchiato,
use the large fi lter for a double espresso (15).
E. Fill the fi lter with espresso

1. When inserting the fi lter (14/15), please note that there
is a slight bulge on the fi lter. Insert the fi lter in the fi lter
holder (19) so that the small bulge is positioned in the cor-
responding groove in the fi lter holder (19).
2. Then turn the fi lter (14/15) to the right or left to fi x it in the
fi lter holder (19).
3. Notice: To remove the fi lter (14/15), the fi lter must be
turned so that the bulge is located in the groove. Other-
wise the fi lter cannot be removed. ATTENTION! Only re-
move the fi lter if it has cooled off completely!
1. Use the measuring spoon (17) to fi ll the fi lter (14/15) with
freshly ground espresso powder. Do not overfi ll the fi lter.
Observe the marks on the fi lter.
2. Use the plunger to pack the espresso powder (16) slightly.
3. Remove any excess espresso powder from the edge of
the fi lter (14/15).
