12. DISPENSING

12.1 PREPARING ESPRESSO COFFEE

In the idle-on state, manually raise the handle of the coffee brew lever (fig. 4, table 1) to start dispensing the
coffee. By lowering the lever, dispensing is interrupted.
For every cup of coffee, add 6-8 grams of ground coffee to the portafilter and press it down. Insert the
portafilter, with the ground coffee, under the group head, and turn it to the right until it locks into place.
Place one or two cups under the portafilter spout and raise the lever (the cups should be heated before
placing them under the portafilter). The coffee will now begin dispensing, first in drops, then it will flow out thick
like hot chocolate, and the display will show the time in seconds. When the cup has been filled with the
desired amount of coffee, lower the lever.
The dispensing seconds of the coffee blend are monitored from the second of the three main screens (page
2) during the dispensing phase.

12.2 PREPARING HOT BEVERAGES

Hot drinks (tea, chamomile tea, milk, chocolate, infusion) can also be prepared using the steam tap and the
water tap.
WATER
Place a container under the water wand (fig. 5, table 1). Turn the knob of the tap counterclockwise. The hot
water will begin to come out. When finished, turn the knob clockwise to close off the water tap.
STEAM
Place a container under the steam wand (fig. 6, table 1) and immerse it into the liquid to be heated. Turn the
knob of the tap counterclockwise. The steam will start to come out and will heat the liquid. When finished, turn
the steam knob clockwise to close the tap.
