10a. Wire/test fan and install remote keypad (onboard VFD)
If you remotely mounted the VFD, skip to step 10b.
Steps A–I below MUST be completed in the order shown.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, wiring should be performed by a qualified electrician.
Incorrect assembly can cause electric shock or damage to the motor or VFD.
WARNING: Disconnect power to the installation location before wiring the fan!
A. Wire VFD
Make sure power wiring is routed to the VFD. Wire the VFD according to the appropriate diagram in the VFD
Wiring Diagrams section.
B. Install VFD interface module
Remove the VFD wiring cover. Insert the VFD interface
module under tab A on the back of the cover, and then
click the module into place under tab B.
The VFD interface module required for this
installation is marked "RK" for Remote Keypad.
A nearly identical module is used for BAFWorks
and Dewtect
installations. This module is marked
®
"RO" and is not compatible with remote keypad
installations.
C. Wire remote keypad to module
Wire the remote keypad to the VFD interface module. Refer
to the tables below for wiring instructions and the appropriate
communications cable for your application.
