Weighing

1. Place the scale on an even, firm, and dry surface. Carefully position the scale in order
to avoid hard impacts to the sensors/feet and therefore to avoid damage.
2. Switch on the scale by pressing with a little force on the weighing surface for
2 seconds.
3. Choose the desired unit of measurement by repeatedly touching UNIT. You can
choose between "g" (grams), "oz" (ounces), "lboz" (pounds), "ml" (millilitres) and "floz"
(fluid ounces). Pay attention to the indicator on the display.
Choose "ml" if you would like to weigh liquids.
4. If you want to weigh something in a container, now place the container without
anything in it onto the weighing surface. Otherwise, proceed as described in
point 6.
5. Press OFF/TARE.
Depending on the chosen unit of measurement, "0 g", "0.0 oz", "0: 00 lboz", "0 ml" or
"0: 00 floz" as well as "TARE" are shown on the display.
6. Put the substance to be weighed in the container or place it on the weighing
surface. The measured weight is shown on the display.
7. Read off the measured weight and remove the item or substance from the
container or the weighing surface.

TARE Function

This function is practical, for example, when baking, if you would like to add another
ingredient to the ingredients already on the scale.
1. Press OFF/TARE in order to set the scale back to "0". "TARE" is shown on the display.
2. Add the new substance. The weight of the added substance is shown on the display.
3. Repeat the process whenever you want to add more ingredients. The process can
be repeated as often as needed until the capacity limit (5 kg) is reached.

Switching off the scale

− Hold down OFF/TARE until the indicator on the display goes out.
The scale automatically switchs off if it is not used for approx.
60 seconds.
