Start-up

Removing the iso-strips

The batteries are already inserted on delivery and, for protection against premature
discharge, are provided with an iso-strip. In order to start up the scales, you must remove
the iso-strips. The battery compartment is located on the underside of the device.
1. Press the locking tab slightly towards the battery compartment cover and remove it.
2. Pull out the iso-strips.
3. Put the battery compartment cover back in place.

Inserting/changing batteries

For use you require 2 batteries of type CR2032, 3 V.
1. Remove the battery compartment cover.
‚ Slide the batteries against the contact springs under the large, square retaining
tabs and then press them downwards. The batteries will then snap into place on
the opposite retaining tabs so that the batteries are firmly set in their holder.
− Pay attention to the correct polarity (+/-).
− The plus pole (+) of each battery must point upwards.
2. Put the battery compartment cover back in place. The locking tab must snap
securely into place.
Notes on changing the battery:
‚ The batteries need to be changed when "LO" or nothing is shown on
the display.
‚ Only use the type of battery that is specified in the "Technical Data".
‚ Always exchange all of the batteries at the same time.
‚ Dispose of batteries in an environmentally appropriate way (see "Disposal").
