• Press button (2) continuously to lower the flames and to switch off the burner (putting the fire out: "STAND BY"). Press button
(2) briefly to gradually lower the flames.
• Press button (1) to increase the flame height. Briefly press button (1) to gradually increase the flames.
• Simultaneously press button (4) and button (2) to turn off the rear burner.
• Simultaneously press button (4) and button (1) to turn on the rear burner again.
• It is not possible to have only the rear burner be lit.
Switching off the appliance
• Press button (2) to lower the flames and to switch off the burner.
• Then press "OFF" button (3) to switch off the entire unit, including the pilot flame.
• If the appliance is not used for a longer period it is advisable that you turn off the gas valve in the gas pipe.
Important: if the pilot flame has gone out for whatever reason, you must wait at least 5 MINUTES before lighting
the pilot flame again.
Gas saving electronics
The electronics in your gas fire are programmed to save gas when the appliance is not in use. If the receiver doesn't receive
a signal from the remote every 3 hours it will switch to the pilot flame. After 5 days it will shut down the gas fire completely.
You can prevent this from happening by programming the timer on the remote. By doing this a signal will be send regularly
to the receiver.
Failure
If it looks as if the signals of the remote control are not properly received by the stove (receiver), it may be caused by:
• Empty batteries: change the batteries.
• An electric problem: solve by carrying out a hard reset. To do so, you must disconnect the receiver from its power source by
removing the batteries or disconnecting the adapter. Then press the "RESET" button on the receiver for 8 seconds. Power the
receiver up again and restart the gas fire.
• If the appliance often switches off you should contact your installer.

Operation (optional Wanders EcoWave app)
It is possible to order the optional Wi-Fi module in order to operate the fireplace using the Wanders EcoWave app,
The app can be downloaded for free at the Apple App Store and/or the Google Play Store. Incidentally, the app can only be
used in combination with the SYMAX EcoWave remote control.
Control (manual control)
In the event of empty batteries or a defective receiver, the heater can also be operated manually. To do so, the piezo ignition
cable must first be disconnected from the receiver, before connecting it carefully to the piezo connector (10) on the gas
control unit.
Lighting the fire and putting it out
1. Open the gas stopcock which is mounted in the gas pipe leading to the appliance.
Press "O I" switch (5) on the gas control block in the "I" position.

3. Turn motor switch (7) on the gas control block all the way to the right. The switch will make a ticking sound.
4. Turn operating switch (6) on the gas control block in the MAN position; an orifice (8) becomes visible.
5. Push the metal pin in the orifice with something like a small pen. The gas will now flow to the pilot.
While keeping the metal pin pressed in, press the (square) ignition fuse (9) (next to the "O I" switch) to ignite the pilot
