Temperature probe
The BIONEST® system operates with live purifying bacteria set on the polymer
media inside the reactor. These organisms perform more efficiently with a
surrounding water temperature above 10ºC. Commercial and institutional
buildings mostly produce lower temperature wastewaters compared to
residential applications; BIONEST® SA-4000 to SA-10000 models are therefore
equipped with a temperature probe which can detect a water temperature drop
inside the reactor.
Sludge removal device

The BIONEST® treatment system is designed so that only the septic tank needs
to be periodically emptied, according to applicable regulation in effect. Under
normal usage conditions of the BIONEST® system, only minimal biological
sludge is produced inside the reactor which will need to be pumped at a variable
frequency, depending on use. When required, the sludge removal devices inside
the reactor provide for an easy removal.
Alarm
The BIOLARM® control system detects any malfunction of the BIONEST® system's electrical
components, such as the recirculation or air pump. It also signals any abnormality related to
a high water level detected by the BIO-UV , the BIO-PUMP or by an effluent filter high level

float, where applicable.
This system connects into a 120 V outlet and beeps in case of a malfunction. A green indicator
light signals the BIOLARM® is functioning while two (2) red lights indicate the reason for the
alarm.
