the customer. All other parts should be
replaced at an Authorised Service Centre.
To avoid serious personal injury, always
remove the battery pack from the tool when
cleaning or performing any maintenance.
SPOOL REPLACEMENT
Use only 2mm diameter
monofilament cutting line.
• Remove the battery pack.
• Push in tabs (Fig. 7.A) on side of spool
cover. Pull spool cover up to remove.
• Remove the old spool.
• To install the new spool, make sure
the cutting line is captured in the slot
on the new spool. Make sure the
end of the cutting line is extended
approximately 15cm beyond the slot.
• Install the new spool so that the cutting line
and slot align with the eyelet in the cutting
head. Thread the cutting line into the eyelet.
• Pull the cutting line extending from
the cutting head so the cutting line
releases from the slot in the spool.
• Reinstall the spool cover by depressing
tabs into slots and pushing down until
spool cover clicks into place.
CUTTING LINE REPLACEMENT
See Figure 8
• Remove the battery pack.
• Remove the spool from the spool cover
• Bend one 3m length of line in the middle
and hook the string in location (Fig. 8.D).
• Hold the spool by the hub 'a' and wind
both halves of the line in the direction
of the arrow on the spool. One side of
the line should lay in slot (Fig. 8.C) '
and the other side in slot (Fig. 8.B) .
• To temporarily retain the line,
use notch Fig. 8.E).
ASSEMBLY CUTTING ELEMENTS
1. With the spacer (Fig.9.A) correctly
inserted on the shaft, fit the inner ring-
nut (Fig. 9.B) and cup (Fig. 9.C) in the
indicated direction, making sure that
the grooves match perfectly with those
of the angle transmission (Fig. 9.D).
2. Mount the bar (Fig. 9.E) and outer ring-nut
(Fig. 9.F) with the flat part facing the blade.
3. Mount the outer cup (Fig. 9.G) without
tightening the nut (Fig. 9.H).
4. Insert the supplied wrench (Fig. 9.I) in the
specific angle transmission hole (Fig. 9.D),
manually rotate the blade (Fig. 9.E) and
push the wrench until it fits in the inner
ring-nut hole (Fig. 9.B), blocking rotation.
5. Tighten the nut (Fig. 9.H) and, using a
19 mm or 3/4 inch wrench, fully tighten
it counter-clockwise (44/58 Nm).
6. Remove the wrench to restore rotation.
USING HARNESS
The harness (Fig. 10) must be worn before
attaching the machine to the appropriate
connection, and the straps should be adjusted
according to the operator's height and stature.
The strap (Fig. 10) has to pass over the
right shoulder and follow the right flank.
STORING THE MACHINE
• When the machine must stored:
• Remove the battery from its housing
and provide for his charge.
• A stationary cutting unit Apply
the blade protection.
• Allow engine to cool before
storing in any enclosure.
• Cleaning.
• Check that there are no loose or damaged
components. If necessary, replace damaged
parts and tighten any loose screws and bolts
or contact your authorized service center.
• Store the machine:
• in a dry environment
• protected from the weather
• in a place inaccessible to children.
• making sure that you have removed
wrenches or tools used for maintenance.
