3.2 Functional description

3.2.1 Functional description of the
thermal insulation cover
The thermal insulation cover has a modular
design and reduces heat loss from the dwelling
station. Continuous circulatory operation in
particular causes an increase in the heat input
to the station.
The thermal insulation cover can be opened
over the areas where the heat exchanger and
heat meter are located.
Potable water temperatures above 60°C
increase the risk of calcification and corro-
sion – especially in the area around the heat
exchanger.
The cover (2) can be replaced with a ventilation
grille (1) in the area over the heat exchanger.
