Problem
The iron cannot
remove wrinkles from
the garment.
Water drips from the
soleplate after the iron
has been unplugged or
has been stored.
The light on the iron is
amber instead of blue,
and keeps flashing.
The SmartLight
pulsates slowly.
Dirty water and
impurities come out
of the soleplate during
ironing.
The iron is plugged
in, but the soleplate is
cold.

Storage
1 Slide the steam slider to 'no steam'.
2 Remove the plug from the wall socket.
3 Empty the water tank and let the iron cool down in a safe place.
4 Wind the mains cord around the cord winding area and fix it with
the cord clip. Put the mains cord below the CordFix indication to
ensure the mains cord does not touch the hot soleplate during
storage.
5 Store the iron on its heel in a safe and dry place.

Possible cause
There is no steam during ironing. Put water inside the water tank. Set the
The steam slider is set to MAX.
You have put the iron in
horizontal position with water
still left in the water tank.
The Calc-Clean reminder light
has been activated. This is a
regular reminder for you to
descale the appliance.
The Safety Auto-off mode is
active. The iron has switched
to standby mode (see chapter
'Safety Auto-off ').
Hard water with impurities or
chemicals has formed flakes
inside the soleplate.
There is a connection problem.
Solution
steam slider to MAX.
Set the steam slider to 'no steam'.
Empty the water tank.
Perform the Calc-Clean process (see
chapter 'Cleaning and maintenance', section
'Calc-Clean System').
Move the iron to reactivate it. The iron
starts heating up again. Start ironing again
only when the SmartLight lights up steadily.
Use the Calc-Clean function one or
more times (see chapter 'Cleaning and
maintenance', section 'Calc-Clean System').
Check the mains cord, the plug and the
wall socket.
