3. Getting to know your instrument

The MP 70 paraffin bath brings paraffin wax to melting point.
Dry and chapped hands, feet or elbows are submerged repeatedly for short periods of time into
the warm liquid paraffin wax and then removed again. This causes a thin layer of wax to form
around the affected part of the body, over which a sheet is additionally placed. The warmth of
the paraffin wax opens the pores of the skin and moisture escapes. The layer of wax prevents the
moisture from escaping. Instead, the moisture enters the opened pores and penetrates deep into
the skin, where it is absorbed. This makes skin especially soft and smooth. After an exposure time
of 20 minutes, the paraffin wax can be removed from the affected body parts.
In addition, the warmth of the paraffin bath improves circulation.
