10. Commissioning

Only put the device into operation when you have become familiar with its features and these
operating instructions. Check again that all connections are correct. Do not put the product into
operation if it is damaged.
The amplifier for this equipment should always be the last to be turned on and the first to be
turned off. In this will prevent any undesired noises (which can typically occur when switching
off the player) from damaging the amplifier or loudspeakers.
Make sure that the connected devices are not overloaded. The sound should never be distorted.
If distorted music signals can be heard although the volume on the amplifier has not been set
too high, switch off the player immediately and check the connection. If the connection is
correct, please contact a specialist.
The device may only be operated by persons familiar with the operating instructions. Keep
other persons and children away from the device.
a) Switching on the Player
Turn the volume control of the connected amplifier down completely.
Press the power switch (1) to switch on the player.
Then switch on the mixing desk, if connected, and then the amplifier.
b) Inserting a CD
Press the OPEN/CLOSE button (24) and place a CD on the CD tray (25) with the printed side facing upwards.
Press OPEN/CLOSE button (24) again. The CD tray (25) is closed again.
Do not insert any damaged CDs into the player. The high rotational speed may cause it to crack and
damage the device. Do not insert more than one CD.
Never obstruct the movement of the CD tray. Do not force the CD tray into the drive. This damages the
mechanism and leads to malfunctions.
When a CD is inserted, the display (17) shows information about the CD for a short time.
Then, the device automatically sets the CUE mark at the beginning of music in the first track on the CD and goes
into pause mode.
The CD cannot be ejected during CD playback mode. This makes sure that the playback is not
interrupted unintentionally. Before pressing the OPEN/CLOSE button (24), stop playback.
