Full adjustment - active surface covered
/ object detection
The full adjustment is recommended when the object to be detected
is in front of the active area of the sensor. This adjustment is also
recommended for all applications where it might be possible that a
material deposition on the sensor surface will occur (Fig. 3)
• Approach the EasyTeach spot with the magnet
and hold it until the yellow LED is flashing.
• Remove the EasyTeach magnet.
• During the initialisation process the LED is flashing
yellow with higher frequency.
• The full adjustment is finished when the LED is
static yellow.
Attention: Do not change the distance to the object to be detected or the filling level during the
adjustment!
The sensor is now optimally adjusted for the detection of the media currently being used and the
current mounting conditions. The switching hysteresis is calculated automatically.

Test

The test function can be used to check the control system that is connected to the sensor.
• Approach the EasyTeach spot with the magnet
and hold it until the yellow-green LED is flashing
and the output switches pulsating at the same
time.
For leaving the test mode remove the EasyTeach
magnet. The sensor returns to the previously ad-
justed state.

• Connect the white teach wire to the supply voltage
and hold it until the LED is flashing yellow and output
A1 pulsates.
• Disconnect the white teach wire.
• During the initialisation process the LED is flash-
ing yellow with a high frequency and A1 will pulsate
accordingly.
• The full adjustment is finished when the LED is
static yellow and A1 is high.
• Connect the white teach wire to the supply voltage
and hold it until the LED is flashing yellow-green
and the output switches pulsating at the same
time.
Leave the test mode by disconnecting the white
teach wire from the supply voltage. The sensor re-
turns to the previously adjusted state.
