9.1 Mounting information

● Only use slide-in module in wall sleeve with
appropriate incline to the outside wall 
Shell mounting instructions.
● The slide-in unit (slide-in module + exten-
sion duct) must be appropriate for the wall
thickness to avoid a ventilation short-circuit
(lack of air). To ensure this, shorten the
extension duct accurately.
● With wall thicknesses of 500-790 mm, use
the optional LD 30 VS extension kit. When
installing, use the centring ring provided for
the extension.
● Only mount internal cover on flat surfaces
and without any distortion.
● The appropriate mounting material must be
supplied on site.
● For specified connection cables, also see
connection plans in Appendix:
Grid connection and 230 V input:
Type NYM-J 5G1, 5 mm²
Control cables: Type J-YSTY, 0.8 mm,
4 wires. Max. 25 m from star point, up to
star point max. 4 m
● Imbalance may arise if the maximum stated
cable lengths are exceeded. Observe instal-
lation requirements relating to cable lengths
and types.
● Ventilation units may only be operated using
the voltage and frequency shown on the
rating plate ( LDS 45 O/K).
● LD 30 BO units are connected directly to the
fan interface (Fan1/Fan2) of the LDS 45 O
or LDS 45 K control. For electrical connec-
tion  Wiring diagram.
● LD 30 BK units are connected to the RS 485
bus of the LDS 45 K control. If using seve-
ral LD 30 BK on an LDS 45 K, the LD 30 BK
units should be addressed using the DIP
switches on the board (address 0=unit 1,
address 1=unit 2, address 3=unit 3).
For electrical connection and position of DIP
switches  Wiring diagram.
● The two connecting cables of the LD 30
fans (in the slide-in module) are already fully
wired (8-pin, coded connector plug to avoid
mixing up the sockets). They are connected
to the board in the ventilation unit.
● LDS room air control with plug-in connec-
tion terminals for ventilation unit connecting
cables. Connection terminals can be taken
off for wiring.
● When using the sensor-based automatic
dehumidification function, exhaust air mode
runs until the humidity falls 3% below the
maximum humidity value limit. Volumetric
flow compensation with other LD.. units is
undertaken.
● Manually switched exhaust air mode or
manually switched intensive ventilation is
possible on LD 30 BK units with a button
or switch provided by the customer. When
using the switch, the start delay can be set.
The specialist installer can set parameters
for the duration of the manually switched
functions and the start delay using the
commissioning software. Volumetric flow
compensation is undertaken with the other
LD units on the fan interface.
● Exhaust air mode on a LD 30 BO in combi-
nation with an LDS 45 O can be activated
by pressing the "Ventilation level" button
for more than 2 seconds. Exhaust air mode
generally lasts 10 minutes. Exhaust air
mode is only possible with a LD 30 unit type
setting and when 1 unit is used (setting in
service menu).
● The measurements will be incorrect if the in-
stallation location of the control and external
sensors is inappropriate. Avoid disturbing
influences and direct sunlight.
● LDS 45 O/K with LEDs. For LDS 45 K, the
brightness can be set and/or switched off
using the commissioning software. If people
are being disturbed by bright LEDs (in
bedrooms, for example), choose a suitable
installation location.
● Quiet changeover noises when the fans
change direction of rotation. Do not install
LD 30 in bedrooms.
