Safety precautions

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8
years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if the have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Cleaning and user maintenance of the appliance shall
not be made of children without supervision.
• Make sure the vacuum cleaner is stored in a dry
place.
• All service or repairs must be carried out by an
authorized Electrolux service centre.
• Unplug the charging adapter and remove the
battery pack before cleaning or maintaining your
ULTRAPOWER.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.
• Packaging material, e.g. plastic bags should not be
accessible to children to avoid suffocation.
• Each vacuum cleaner is designed for a specific
voltage. Check that your supply voltage is the
same as that stated on the rating plate on the
charging adaptor.
Use only specific type battery:
For 21,6V - Type: SIRBP216LI
For 25,2V - Type: SIRBP252LI
• Use only the original charging adaptor designed
for ULTRAPOWER
• If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced only by
an authorized Electrolux service centre in order to
avoid a hazard. Damage to the vacuum cleaner's
cord is not covered by the warranty.
Caution
This appliance contains electrical connections:
• Never vacuum any liquid
• Do not immerse in any liquid for cleaning
• The hose should be checked regularly and must
not be used if damaged.
Never use the vacuum cleaner or battery pack:
• In wet areas.
• Close to flammable gases, etc.
• When the product shows visible signs of damage.
• On sharp objects or fluids.
• On hot or cold cinders, lighted cigarette butts, etc.
• On fine dust, for instance from plaster, concrete, flour,
hot or cold ashes.
• Do not leave the vacuum cleaner or battery pack
in direct sunlight.
Never use non-rechargeable batteries.
The battery is a sealed unit and under normal
circumstances poses no safety concerns. In the
unlikely event that liquid leaks from the battery
do not touch the liquid and observe the following
precautions:
• Skin contact – can cause irritation. Wash with soap
and water.
• Inhalation – can cause respiratory irritation. Expose
to fresh air and seek medical advice.
• Eye contact – can cause irritation. Immediately
flush eyes thoroughly with water for at least 15
minutes. Seek medical attention.
• Disposal – wear gloves to handle the battery and
dispose of immediately, following local ordinances
or regulations.
• Avoid exposing the vacuum cleaner or battery to
strong heat.
• The battery pack or the battery cells within must
not be dismantled, short circuited, placed against
a metal surface .
• Never use the vacuum cleaner without its filters.
• Do not try to touch the brush roll while the cleaner
is switched on and the brush roll is turning.
Using the vacuum cleaner in the above
circumstances may cause serious personal injury or
damage to the product. Such injury or damage is not
covered by the warranty or by Electrolux.
