Rohloff E-14 and eBike Systems:
Switch eBike System „ON". Refer to the manufactures operation manual.

Gear Indicator

The currently selected SPEEDHUB 500/14 gear, will be shown differently depending
upon motor brand and display version. Please refer to the manufacturers
operational manual for use.

Shifting Gears

Multishift Function

Should either of the Switch Unit buttons be held down permantly, the Rohloff E-14 Shifter
Unit will shift one gear as normal, then pause, before shifting 3 gears in rapid succession.
The Shifter Unit will then pause for 0.5 seconds again before shifting another 3 gears and
continue to shift in this "3-gear, pause" sequence until reaching the bedstop gear for that
chosen direction (i.e. gear #14 when holding the „+" button or gear #1 when holding the „-"
button.

Starting Gear / Auto-Downshift

Tip
The eBike transmission, in combination with a Rohloff E-14 shifting mechanism, offers
riders the ability to individually select a start gear, best suited to your terrain and riding
style.
Please refer to the manufacturers operational manual for set-up instructions.
The Auto-Downshift feature, if made available by the eBike system manufacturer, will upon
the bike becoming stationary, automatically shift down to any pre-programmed start gear,
as long as the current gear is higher.
The availability of the Auto-Downshift feature can vary from bicycle to bicycle. This could
be deactivated or individually programmable depending upon the eBike system
manufacturer.
Original instructions
The gear shift is operated by pressing either a button on the
Rohloff E-14 Switch Unit.
The Switch Unit is equipped with 3 buttons:
„+": Shifts gears upwards towards gear #14
„−": Shifts gears downward towards #1
„M": For configuration purposes only
One gear change per press of a button.
