This equipment can be used by children above the age of 8 or by persons with reduced physical, mental or
sensory capacities or a lack of experience or knowledge, provided they are supervised or have received in-
struction in the safe use of the equipment and therefore understand the risks involved. Do not allow children
to play with this equipment. Do not allow children to clean or conduct user maintenance without supervision.
Do not clean the unit – or parts of it – in the dishwater. Not dishwater resistant!
Do not dispose of this product as normal household waste. Take it to your local refuse collection side.

B Installing and putting the aquarium to use
A Selecting a suitable location, so as to keep out of direct sunlight and close proximity to heaters. Place the aquarium
only on a smooth, firm and level base (e.g. EHEIM aquastyle furniture).
Caution: Note weight of the installed and filled aquarium (about 50 kg.)
B Remove all accessories from the aquarium. Thoroughly rinse the tank with warm water and a soft, clean sponge.
Caution: Do not use cleaning agents! Check for leaks before putting the aquarium to use!
C Stick the 4 rubber feet from the bottom at the corners of the aquarium bottom plate and place the aquarium on a smooth,
horizontal and stable surface.
D Fill the aquarium with water to a height of 1-2 cm (to avoid air pockets). Plug the floor elements of the undergravel
filter q and the spring-mounted clamps together. While doing this, mount the adapter plate n at one of the rear corners.
5 Close the outer openings of the undergavel filter with the engaging side panels p and place the undergravel filter in the
aquarium.
6 Connect the plug-on piece m to the counterpart of the adapter plate. Subsequently, plug the PVC pipe l into the plug-
on piece.
7 Cover the undergravel filter with 1l EHEIM substrate (item no. 2509051) and spread evenly. Keep the filter material
about 1-2 cm away from the aquarium glass panels. Then, fill the floor soil (e.g. EHEIM kadama Shrimp Soil) and dis-
tribute evenly.
Caution: The maximum total height of the soil filter system, including filter material Eheim substrate and floor soil
should not exceed 8-9 cm.
8 Plug the airstone h onto the pump outlet valve. Plug the pump unit with the terminal box onto the PVC pipe.

ttach corner cover e at the same corner as the pump unit. To do this, plug the corner cover with the provided recess
onto the corner and clip in the pump cable.
J Clip in the power LED lamp a into the lamp holder b and centre the lamp.
Caution: Observe the direction of the arrow; otherwise, it will not work.
K Position retaining clip d at the corner of the aquarium, where the corner cover e with the pump unit is located. Insert the
lamp holder b in the retaining clip and plug the retaining clip into the recess of the corner cover and close the retaining clip.
