3. For Your Personal Safety:

Please read these Instructions for Use carefully before installing and starting the DeguDent Solaris
device. The information contained in these Instructions for Use must be followed. Please also read the
safety tips in Chapter 13 of this instruction booklet. Inappropriate use of the device may be dangerous
to users or third parties and could damage the device and other material assets.
• DeguDent Solaris should only be used for dental purposes.
• DeguDent Solaris may only be operated with original spare parts. Only in this way can the
quoted performance data and operational reliability be guaranteed.
• Do not open the device. The unit's interior contains hazardous voltages.
• Only service technicians authorized by DeguDent may carry out maintenance and repair work.
• Protect the device from moisture in order to prevent short-circuiting and damage.
Do not expose the device to water vapor.
• Unplug the device from the mains if it is not being used for an extended period of time.
• Do not let Solaris electroplating liquid get in the eyes.
• Avoid contact of the Solaris electroplating liquid with the skin and mocous membranes.
• Do not swallow Solaris electroplating liquid.
• Wash your hand immediately after contact with Solaris electroplating liquid.
For your personal safety when handling Solaris fluids, please ensure you read the relevant safety
datasheets for the
• gold bath
• activator
• conducting silver varnish and
• thinner.
