Inserting the Electrode Disk
• The prepared electrodes are attached to the glass slide in the direction of the arrow.
• The glass slide is placed on the holder and locked from the outside with the lever.
• The parameters Coating Thickness, Object Type and Automatic Plaster Release On/Off are
entered into the device.
• The display shows the required goldplating bath and activator amounts as well as the beaker
glass to be used.
• The user must fill in the required amount accordingly.
• Press the START key to begin the process.
After Electroforming:
Remove the Contact Rods
• Unlock the device and remove the glass slide.
• Gently twist the metal rods to pull them out.
• If the electroformed copings have already been removed from the plaster, the electroformed
crowns are separated with a cutting wheel at the junction to the metal rod.
• Remove any leftover plaster residue in the ultrasound bath.
Removing Primary Crowns and Telescopic Copings
• Reduce the overlapping margin under a microscope, using a rubber polisher.
• Drill a screw into the plastic die.
• Hold the die on the screw with pliers and carefully tap the pliers to detach male and female parts
from each other.
Removing the Conductive Silver Paint
• Use nitric acid to remove the conductive silver paint in a fume hood inside a plastic container.
Please carry personal protective equipment.
• If no nitric acid is available, the conductive silver paint coat must be removed by blasting with
alumina (50 µm and 1–2 bar).
• Please be aware that no blasting should be done with telescopic copings, because otherwise
the inner surface is roughened and there may no longer be friction.
• Nitric acid concentration: 20 % to approximately 65 %. The higher the concentration, the faster
the conductive silver varnish will be dissolved.
Please note:
Conductive silver paint residue may cause discoloration of the ceramic, telescopic copings and
gingiva and may lead to the crown margin being deformed.
