3. Introduction

Why use a daylight lamp?
Natural spectrum daylight may help to reduce the effects associated with winter blues, jet lag, shift work and
seasonal time changes and boost your sense of well-being.

5. To Set Up
Remove plastic wrapping and check the device for damage. If you notice any damage, contact customer
service at 1-800-536-0366.
1. Place the device on a flat, level, stable, hard surface so that it will be 3.9 – 11.8 in (10 – 30 cm) away from
you during use.
2. To prevent product damage, only use the supplied power adapter.
3. Insert the round power adapter plug into the Adapter Socket (marked ) on the rear of the Daylight Lamp.
Connect the power adapter to a standard 110 VAC electrical outlet.

Remove the Stand from its storage slot.

Clip the Stand into one of the Holders on the housing. The Stand can be attached to either the long
(horizontal use) or short side (vertical use). The bend in the stand can be either used facing up or
down, which allows positioning the daylight lamp at two different angles.

Enjoying the light
Sit 3.9 – 11.8 in (10 – 30 cm) from the lamp.
You can go about your normal activities while using it, such as reading, writing, making telephone
calls, etc.
P eriodically look directly into the light briefly. Do not stare directly at the light for extended peri-
ods, since that could lead to overstimulation of the retina.
• F or more effective results use for at least seven consecutive days.
• I t is recommended to use the daylight lamp between 6 AM and 8 PM for two hours per day.
D o not leave the daylight lamp unattended while in use.
Start with shorter periods of illumination and increase over the course of a week.
NOTE:
Eye aches and mild headaches may occur for the first uses and will subside after continued usage.

The duration of the application depends on the distance. The closer you are to the light source, the
shorter the application time:

Switching off the lamp
 Press the On/Off button to shut the unit off. Unplug the power supply from the electrical outlet. The
LEDs will switch off.
CAUTION
The lamp remains hot after use. Let the lamp cool before storing.

7. Care, Maintenance and Disposal

• Before cleaning the unit, always switch it off, unplug it, and let it cool.
• Do not immerse unit in water or other liquids. Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the device. Do not use
abrasive detergents.
• Do not touch the unit with wet hands while it is plugged in; do not allow any water to be sprayed onto the
unit. The unit must be operated only when it is completely dry.
• If you are not going to use the device for an extended period of time, disconnect it and store it in a dry
place, out of the reach of children.
Disposal: Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device in accordance with local
regulations. If you have any questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for waste disposal.
