Introduction

The UPA-PC500 Digital Photofinishing System
Controller is a controller for digital imaging services.
This chapter describes some of the main features of this
unit and outlines the contents of the supplied guides.

Features

Touchscreen display
The touchscreen display allows you to touch the display
directly for easy operation.
Variety of supported media
Image data can be read from a variety of media
commonly used with digital cameras and computers:
• "Memory Stick," "Memory Stick Duo," "Memory
Stick PRO," and "Memory Stick PRO Duo"
• CompactFlash cards
• SmartMedia and xD-Picture cards
• SD Memory Cards and MultiMediaCards
• USB memory devices
• CDs
Built-in combo drive
The built-in combo drive reads and writes data at high
speeds, allowing you to transfer image data to and from
discs.
Note
When writing image data, make sure to use a blank
CD-R. You cannot write to a CD-R that has been written
to already, or to a CD-RW.
