To write-protect an SD Memory Card
To protect important data from accidental erasure, SD
Memory Cards have a write-protect switch. When you
slide the write-protect switch as shown in the figure,
data can be read from but not written to the SD Memory
Card.

When write-protected, the SD Memory Card cannot be
used to store images taken with a digital camera.

MultiMediaCard and RS-MMC Card

A MultiMediaCard or RS-MMC card can only slide into
the slot on the unit in one direction. If the card does not
slide into the slot smoothly, do not force it. Instead,
make sure that the card is oriented correctly, as shown
below.
