 Switch on the device using the main switch (B), see fi g. 1.
 At every start the used software version and the set operating
mode are indicated, see fi g. 10.
 The heating bath temperature is held constant by the control
circuit and is additionally monitored by the safety circuit.
In the event of an error in the control circuit, the heating bath
is switched off permanently by the safety circuit.
An error in the control or safety circuit is shown on the display,
LC display see fi g. 5.
The 'Heating' function can no longer be started.
 When switching off the heating function and the medium
temperature is higher than 50° C, on the LC display is shown
alternately OFF and HOT, see fi g. 4 and 6.

The safety of the user cannot be guaranteed if the appliance is
operated with accessories that are not supplied or recommended
by the manufacturer or if the appliance is operated improperly
contrary to the manufacturer's specifi cations or if the appliance
or the printed circuit board are modifi ed by third parties.
Prior to commissioning the device, determine the fi lling quantity
of the tempering medium due to the used evaporator piston size
(approx. 2,5 l tempering medium by using a standard 1 l evapo-
rator piston).

Set target temperature

 Activate the SET function and confi rm the previously set target
temperature by pressing the rotary/push knob (C).
 The opening screen fi g. 6 appears and the setting for the sa-
fety temperature is activated for fi ve seconds. "SafeTemp" fl a-
shes on the display, see also "Setting the safety temperature".
 The display then switches from "SafeTemp" to "Temp" and
the SET function is activated.

 Set the desired heating bath target temperature by turning
the rotary/push knob (C), see fi g. 8.
 The SET function fl ashes every few seconds.
 Confi rm the value by pressing the rotary/push knob again (C).
If not confi rmed, the set value is not saved.
 The SET function stops fl ashing.
 Start the heating process by pressing the rotary/push knob (C).

Operating modes

Operating mode A
 Switch on the device at the rocker switch (B).
 The heating function is switched off.
 Safe Temp (safety temperature) will appear for 5 secs (fi g. 3).
 The target value is set to 20 °C.
 The target value setting can be adjusted.
 The controller tempering medium is set to water.
 The heating function must be restarted following a power
failure.
 The following settings are possible/adjustable:
- the target value,
- the safety circuit,
- the controller tempering medium.
 When the device is switched on at the mains switch, A ap-
pears (fi g. 10).
