Assembly / Installation

The product is to be set up or installed at the inten-
ded use site under due consideration of the following
conditions:
• At the location and site all applicable provisions of
law must be clarified and compliance with them
assured.
• The ground and space relations are to be clarified
prior to set-up/installation of the product in order
to assure safe operation for the personnel and the
product long-term. The product must be set-up/
installed so that safe, permanent operation is
assured.
• The product may only be set up and commissioned
by specially trained technicians.
• The product is constructed for rooms that are
protected from the influence of the weather
(industry standard).
• The operation and storage in aggressive or humid
environments or outdoors can lead to corrosion
damages.

Commissioning

The system was fully tested before delivery and set to
the previously specified container size.
NOTE
Ensure that all screws and hoses
are tightened properly (leaks
• Remove all packaging from the system before
commissioning.
• Turn the rotary switch (Figure I/no.25) to  Hold.
• Connect the system to the compressed air supply.
• Open the shut-off valve (Figure E/no.12).
• Check the air pressure at the pressure gauges.

Factory default settings

The pneumatic regulator is set to a factory default
value of 4 bar and is adjusted inside the control unit.
Caution: Don't adjust!
The pump pressure is set to 4 bar at the factory
(Figure I/no.22).
The follower piston plate pressure is set to 0.5 bar at
the factory (Figure I/no.24).
NOTE
To adjust the pneumatic pressure,
pull the adjusting knob on the
regulator out and turn it...

Operation

Loading the container
The first time a container is loaded, the drum holders
(Figure H/no.17) must be centred on the base frame.
• Turn the rotary switch (Figure I/no.25) to  Raise.
• Raise the follower piston plate with the two-handed
control (Figure I/no.20) until the pump lifter is raised
all the way up (mechanical limit stop).
• Move the four drum holders (Figure H/no.17) on the
base plate out to the stops.
• Centre the container under the follower piston plate
(Figure D/no.11).
• Turn the rotary switch (Figure I/no.25) to  Lower.
• Lower the pump lifter using the two-handed control
(Figure I/no.20) until the follower piston plate
(Figure D/no.11) is just above the container
(don't lower it into the container).
• Align the container again with the follower piston
plate.
• Move the drum holders (Figure H/no.17) against the
container and position them.
• Fully tighten the two hex nuts (size 16) on the rear
drum holder (Figure H/no.17) with an open-ended
wrench.
• Hand-tighten all four wing nuts.
