Fault Localisation, Troubleshooting

CAUTION
Remediation of any of the faults
described below may only be
carried out by a trained technician.
Fault
Pump doesn't start.
Pump doesn't apply any or too
low of a pressure.
Possible cause
Upper limit switch (pump
operation) isn't activated
(Figure F/no.4).
No compressed air available.
Air service unit (Figure B/No.6) is
plugged.
Empty notification limit switch
activated.
Pump pressure control valve
(Figure I/No.22) adjusted
incorrectly.
Pump lifter switched off.
Air service unit (Figure B/No.6) is
contaminated.
Leak or kinked lines.
Pressure on the follower piston
plate is too low (Figure D/ No.11).
Air pressure too low.

Corrective action

Use the two-handed control
(Figure I/no.20) to lower the pump
lifter to the limit switch position.
Check the compressed air supply
and shut-off valve (Figure E/No.12).
Clean or replace the filter
(Figure E/No.15).
Use a full container.
Set the pressure control valve to a
higher pressure (increase)
(Figure I/No.22).
Turn the rotary switch (Figure I/
No.25) to Lower.
Clean or replace the filter
(Figure E/No.15).
Inspect the hoses and fittings.
Carefully increase the pressure
using the pressure control valve on
the follower piston plate
(Figure I/No. 24).
Have the compressed air supply
checked.
