DOUBLE INSULATION FOR SAFER OPERATION
To ensure safer operation of this po w er tool, HITA CHI has adopted a double insulation design. " Double
insulation " means that two physically separated insulation systems have been used to insulate the electrically
conductive materials connected to the po wer supply fro m the outer frame handled by the operator. Therefore,
either the sy m bol "
" or the w ords and " Double insulation " appear on the po w er tool or on the na m eplate.
Although this syste m has no external grounding, you m ust still follo w the norm al electrical safety precautions
given in this Instruction M anual, including not using the po w er tool in w et environ m ents.
To keep the double insulation syste m effective, follo w these precautions:
* O nly HITA CHI A U TH ORIZED SERVICE CE N TER should disasse m ble or asse m ble this po w er tool, and only
genuine HITA CHI replace m ent parts should be installed.
* Clean the exterior of the po w er tool only with a soft cloth m oistened with soapy w ater and dry thoroughly.
* N ever use solvents, gasoline or thinners on plastic co m ponents; otherwise the plastic m ay dissolve.
