4. Inspecting the blade guard for proper operation
Before each use of the tool, test the blade guard (see Fig. 8) to assure that they are in good condition
and that they m ove sm oothly.
N ever use the tool unless the blade guard operate properly and unless they are in good m echanical
condition.
5. Storage
After operation of the tool has been co m pleted, check that the follo wing has been perform ed:
(1) Trigger switch is in O FF position,
(2) Po w er plug has been re m oved fro m the receptacle,
(3) Stored in a secure place.
W hen the tool is not in use, keep it stored in a dry place out of the reach of children.

7. Lubrication

Lubricate the follo wing sliding surfaces once a m onth to keep the po wer tool in good operating condition
for a long tim e (see Fig. 1 and Fig. 2). Use of m achine oil is reco m m ended.
Oil supply points:
*Rotary portion of angle regulator
*Rotary portion of vise asse m bly
*Rotary portion of table and base
8. Cleaning
Periodically re m ove chips, dust and other w aste m aterial fro m the surface of the po w er tool, especially
fro m the inside of the blade guard (plastic) with a da m p, soapy cloth. To avoid a m alfunction of the
m otor, protect it fro m contact with oil or w ater.

SERVICE AND REPAIRS

All quality po w er tools will eventually require servicing or replace m ent of parts because of w ear fro m
norm al use. To assure that only authorized replace m ent parts will be used and that the double insulation
syste m will be protected, all service (other than routine m aintenance) m ust be perfor m ed by an

The po w er of the m otor is transmitted to the sa w blade by a Poly-
V-Belt. W hen the Poly-V-Belt is broken or da m aged, re m ove the
rear cover by loosening the three 5m m scre ws and replace the
da m aged one with the ne w one.
W hen connecting the belt on pulleys, first connect 2 or 3 teeth of
Poly-V-Belt to the grooves of the pulley (A) and pulley (B). Then
turning the pulley (A) and pulley (B), connect all 10 teeth of the belt
to the pulleys.
