4 Inflating items

4.2 Switching on and inflating

WARNING:
Danger of injury! Do not point the jet of air
at yourself, other people or animals. The jet
of air can contain particles which could
cause injury.
ATTENTION:
The pressure recommended for the item to
be inflated must not be exceeded. The item
to be inflated could burst which could cause
injury.

WARNING:
Danger of injury! Hold the appliance and
hose firmly during inflation. Make sure you
never leave the appliance unattended.
1. Check whether the on/off switch is in the
'0' position (Fig. 9).
2. Insert the mains plug into a socket with
ground/safety contact.
3. Hold the appliance firmly.
4. Put the inflation nozzle into the valve of
the item you want to inflate and also hold
it firmly (Fig. 14).
5. Switch on the hand-held vacuum cleaner
using the on/off switch (Fig. 9).
ATTENTION:
Do not cover the holes on the sides of the
inflation nozzles. Otherwise the pressure
cannot disperse if the pressure inside the
item being inflated becomes too high.
6. Turn off the hand-held vacuum cleaner at
the on/off switch (Fig. 9) after use and pro-
ceed as described in
"Switching off".
1. Install the following in this order: connec-
tion piece (Fig. 15/4), black suction hose
(Fig. 15/9) and an inflation nozzle that fits
with the valve (Fig. 15/10).
2. Put the inflation nozzle into the valve of
the item and continue to hold it firmly
(Fig. 15).
3. Switch on the hand-held vacuum cleaner
using the on/off switch (Fig. 9) as de-
scribed above.
4. Once the air has been completely re-
moved from the item, switch off the hand-
held vacuum cleaner at the on/off switch
(Fig. 9) and proceed as described in
Chapter 5.1, "Switching off".
