5.2 Removing the blade guard hood (Fig. 4)
Remove the blade guard hood by unfolding it.
5.3 Fitting the battery (battery not supplied)
(Fig. 5-6)
Fig. 5 shows the fi tting of the battery when the
tool is used without the telescopic, and Fig. 6
shows it when used with the telescopic tube.
Press the pushlock button (25) of the
rechargeable battery and press the rechargeable
battery into the mount provided. Make sure that
the pushlock button latches in place. To remove
the battery, proceed in reverse order!
5.4 Charging the Lithium-Ion battery
(not included)
The corresponding instructions can be found
in the original operating instructions for your
charger.
5.5 Battery capacity indicator (Fig. 7)
Press the battery capacity indicator button (29).
The battery capacity indicator (28) shows the
charge status of the battery using 3 LED.
All 3 LED lit:
The battery is fully charged.
2 or 1 LED(s) lit:
The battery has an adequate remaining charge.
1 LED fl ashing:
The battery is empty, recharge the battery.
All LED fl ashing:
The temperature of the battery is too low. Remove
the battery from the device and leave it at room
temperature for a day. If the error occurs again,
this means that the battery has been completely
depth-discharged and is defective. Remove the
battery from the device. Never use or charge a
defective battery.
6. Operation
6.1 Tool without the telescopic pole
Insert the battery as shown in Section 5.3 Fig. 5.
6.2 Use
The tool is used like a conventional garden
shears. Use your free hand to move the branches
etc. into position. Keep a safe distance between
this hand and the work area – risk of injury.

6.3 Switching on (Fig. 8-9)
a) Press the push lock (Item 3) on the right so
that it slides out of the housing on the left. The
trigger (Item 4) is unlocked.
b) Press the function switch (Item 5.1) for one
second. A signal will sound and the "ON-
STANDBY-OFF" LED (Item 5.2) will light up
"Orange" (STANDBY Mode).
c) Press the trigger (Item 4) twice in quick
succession (double-click). A signal will sound
and both the "ON-STANDBY-OFF" LED (Item
5.2) and the "CUTTING WIDTH 1.1"" will light
up "Green". The tool is ready for operation.
Pressing the trigger (Item 4) will now open the
cutting blade.
6.4 Adjusting the opening width (Fig. 8-9)
You can set two diff erent opening widths of the
branch cutting blade (1.1" -28mm / 0.6" -14mm).
a) 1.1" -28mm -> 0.6" -14mm: Press the function
switch (Item 5.1) briefl y – the "CUTTING
WIDTH 1.1" -28MM" LED will go out and the
"CUTTING WIDTH 0.6" -14MM" LED will light
up.
b) 0.6" -14mm -> 1.1" -28mm: Press the function
switch (Item 5.1) briefl y – the "CUTTING
WIDTH 0.6" -14MM" LED will go out and the
"CUTTING WIDTH 1.1" -28MM" LED will light
up.
6.5 Working (Fig. 8)
Press the trigger (Item 4) to close the cutting
blade, release the trigger to open it again to the
previously set opening width.
6.6 Switching off (Fig. 8-9)
a) Press the trigger (Item 4) to close the cutting
blade. Hold the trigger and press the push
lock (Item 3) into the housing on the left.
The trigger (Item 4) will lock. After approx. 5
seconds the "ON-STANDBY-OFF" LED will
light up "Orange" (STANDBY Mode).
b) Press the function switch (Item 5.1) for
3 seconds. A signal will sound, the "ON-
STANDBY-OFF" LED will light up and the tool
will be switched off .
6.7 Finishing the job
Switch off the tool as described in Section 6.6,
remove the battery/batteries and fold the blade
guard cover over the branch cutting blade.
