•
Hold the equipment by the insulated
handles when carrying out work during
which the cutting blade could strike
concealed power cables. Contact with a
live cable might also make the metal parts
of the equipment live and cause an electric
shock.
•
Take care not to cut through any concealed
power cables.
•
Keep all parts of your body, especially your
fingers, away from the cutting blade. Never try
to remove cuttings while the blade is running.
Always switch off the equipment before
attempting to remove any jammed cuttings. A
single moment of carelessness when using
the equipment can result in serious injuries.
•
Keep your fingers away from the cutting blade
while the equipment is in operation. Take
care that the fingers you use to hold or guide
the branches to be cut are not injured by the
cutting blade.
•
Do not apply any force to the equipment. You
might slip and injure yourself in the process or
unintentionally cut something else.
•
Check the cutting blade for damage each
time before you start working.
•
Do not use the equipment if it has a damaged
or excessively worn cutting blade - replace
the damaged blade.
•
Always wear protective gloves while
working with the equipment or carrying
out maintenance/cleaning work on the
equipment.
•
Each time after using the equipment make
sure that the cutting blade is in the closed
position. Turn off the equipment using the ON/
OFF main switch. Use the blade guard.
•
Don't grasp the exposed cutting blades or
cutting edges when picking up or holding the
appliance.
