Adjusting the guard cover
WARNING! Risk of injury due to
unintentional start-up. Remove the
battery (3) from the device.

Notes
• Adjust the guard cover (6) so that
any sparks or detached parts
cannot hit either the user or any
bystanders.
• Position the guard cover (6) so that
the sparks do not ignite any com-
bustible parts, including those in
the surroundings.
Procedure (Fig. A)
1. Press and hold the release lever
(32) of the guard cover towards the
device.
2. Turn the guard cover (6) into the
desired position.
3. Let go of the release lever (32).
4. Move the guard cover (6) a little
until it clicks into place.
Adjusting the speed
You can adjust the speed at any time
during operation. Use the speed but-
ton (16) to select the desired level.

• Depending on the intended use,
observe the working instructions
for the device (Working instruc-
tions, p. 47).
• When the guard cover is fitted, ad-
just it so that the smallest possible
part of the grinder is facing the op-
erator. Readjust the guard cover if
necessary.
Switching on
1. Press the Unlock button (15).
The charge level indicator (13) in
the control panel lights up.
2. Select a suitable speed. You can
adjust the speed at any time dur-
ing operation.
3. Switch on: Press the On/Off but-
ton (17) twice in quick succession.
4. Check that the attachment tool is
running smoothly. If not: Replace
the attachment tool.
5. Wait until the device has reached
full speed.
6. Guide the attachment tool against
the workpiece.
Switching off
1. Remove the attachment tool from
the workpiece.
2. Switch off: Press the On/Off but-
ton (17) or the Unlock button (15).
