• You can operate the tool until the
charge level indicator goes out.
Speed button (16)
Switch speed level
• 1≙ lowest speed level

• The display (14) shows the selec-
ted speed level.
On/Off button (17)
Switching on: Press the On/Off but-
ton twice in quick succession.
Switching off: Press the On/Off but-
ton or the Unlock button.
Spindle lock (10)
• Locks the spindle when attaching/
removing the attachment tool.
Fitting and removing the
auxiliary handle
 WARNING! Loss of control can
result in injuries! Never operate the
device hands-free without the auxili-
ary handle.
Mounting the auxiliary handle
You can attach the auxiliary handle to
the right and left of the device.
1. Turn the auxiliary handle (5) firmly
into one of the two mountings.
Removing the auxiliary handle
1. Turn the auxiliary handle (5) out of
the mounting.

guard cover
Requirements
• Battery removed from device
• Attachment tool and mounting
flange (28) removed

Fitting the guard cover (Fig. A)
1. Place the guard cover (6) on the
tool so that the open side faces
the tool.
The recesses on the guard cov-
er must fit into the grid (31) on the
tool, only one position is possible.
2. Press and hold the release lever
(32) of the guard cover towards the
device.
3. Turn the guard cover (6) at least ¼
turn.
4. Let go of the release lever (32).
5. Move the guard cover (6) a little
until it clicks into place.
You can now fit an attachment tool.
Removing the guard cover (Fig. A)
1. Press the release lever underneath
the guard cover (32) towards the
tool and turn the guard cover (6)
right until the open side of the
guard cover faces the tool.
2. If the recesses on the guard cov-
er match the grid (31) on the tool,
then you can remove the guard
cover (6) upwards.
Attaching and removing the
attachment tool
Permissible attachment tool
 WARNING! Risk of injury! Not any
accessory that can be attached to
your power tool assures safe opera-
tion. Do not use accessories which
are not specifically designed and spe-
cified by the tool manufacturer.
 WARNING! Risk of injury! Ac-
cessories running faster than their
rated speed can break and fly apart.
The rated rotational speed or circum-
ferential speed of the accessory must
be at least equal to that specified be-
low.
