IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
• Read all Instructions.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons do not
immerse cord, plugs, or this appliance in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliances is used by or near
children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool
before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damage cord or plug or after the
appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination,
repair or adjustment.
• The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not use the machine without water; doing so will burn out the pump.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet.
To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
• Before connecting the appliance to A/C power, check that the voltage of
the machine (indicated on the data plate found underneath the machine)
corresponds to that of the A/C power supply.
• The coffee-maker shall not be placed in a cabinet when in use.
• Use of extension cords not authorized by the appliance's manufacturer
may cause damage, injuries and accidents.
• Never aim the jet of steam or hot water towards any part of the body;
handle the steam/hot water pipe with caution since there is a high danger
of burning yourself!
• In the event of faults, defects or a suspected defect due to dropping the
appliance, immediately unplug the appliance from the wall.
Never put the defective appliance into operation.
• Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing cycles.
• The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use and
plastic housings may feel warm to touch several minutes upon use.

The manufacturer declines all responsibility for any damage caused by
repair jobs performed incorrectly by unauthorized service centers.
• Do not use carbonated/fizzy water (charged with carbon dioxide).
• Do not leave the machine at an ambient temperature less than 0°C
because the residue of water in the boiler could turn into ice and can
damage the machine.
• Disconnect the appliance from the A/C outlet before filling the water tank.
• Never leave the power cable coiled-up in its seat during use; unwind it
completely.
• After disconnecting the power plug and after all the hot parts have cooled
down, the appliance must be cleaned with a non abrasive detergent
only (never use solvents, which could damage the paint).
