PREPARING TRIMMER FOR USE

1) Cord Tension Relief
Form a loop with the power cable and pull it
through the eyelet on the trimmer handle. Place
the power cable around the knob. This will
prevent the power cable from disconnecting
during use. (see Fig. 13).

2) Nylon Cutting Line
Check the length of the nylon cutting line by
pulling the line to the inner edge of the guard.
If the line is very short, i.e. more than 2 inches
(50 mm) away from the edge of the guard,
push down on the centre of the cutting head
and at the same time, pull the line outward
(see Fig. 14). When the trimmer starts, the line
will be cut to the correct length automatically.
3) "Bump Feed" the Trimmer Line
When you need to increase the line length
during use, you can simply "bump feed" the
trimmer line to extend the line to the correct
length. To "bump feed" the trimmer, turn on the
trimmer and gently bump the top surface of the

cutting head on a firm surface.

1) Operating the Trimmer
a) To switch the trimmer ON, press the ON/
OFF trigger switch. To turn the trimmer OFF,
release the trigger (see Fig. 15).
b) If you find that the nylon line is too
short, follow the instructions 2 and 3 of the
"Preparing Trimmer for Use" section. Use the
trimmer at an angle of approximately 20º to the
working area (see Fig. 16).
c) Do not overload your trimmer. Make small
passes in a semi-circular arc (see Fig 17),
