2) Guard Fitting
a) Position the motor head as shown in Fig. 3
and remove the pre-fitted screw from the motor
head assembly.
b) Position the guard as shown in Fig. 4, (with
the underside facing you).
c) Place the guard over the motor head (see Fig
4) and align the slots as shown in Fig. 5.
d) Align the marks on the motor head and
the guard and turn the guard in a clockwise
direction (see Fig. 6).
e) Keep turning the guard until it locks into
position. Insert the screw and tighten (see Fig
8). The guard is now installed.
The guard has a very sharp cutting edge that is
used for cutting the trimmer line. Take great
care when attaching the guard.

3) Edge Guide Fitting
Attach the wire guard to the underside of the
plastic guard using the 2 washers and screws
provided (see Fig 9 and 10).

4) Auxiliary Handle Fitting
Attach the auxiliary handle to the support
bracket on the trimmer shaft. Insert the retaining
bolt through both the handle and the support
on the trimmer shaft and thread the bolt into the
retaining nut located in the auxiliary handle (see
Fig 11 and 12).
