• Non-combustible finishing material tight to the appliance must not project more than 4" (102mm) from
the face of the fireplace opening of the appliance opening. If greater projections are needed, increase the
clearance to the sides and top by 2" (51mm) for every 1" (25mm) projection.
5.6 nailing tabs (located in manual baggie)
1. Locate the nailing tabs in the manual bag.
2. Remove the 12 screws from the corner posts.
3. Place the nailing tabs in place and secure with the 12 previously removed screws (FIG. 1).
note:
The tabs will facilitate the installation
of up to 1" (25mm) of finished surface
thickness.
Repeat process for opposite side.
