2. INTRODUCTION

2.1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE
WELDKAR WK MIG 5040 F SYNERGIC
With a 500 Amp power source (60% power-on time)
at 400 Volts, this powerhouse can be used for heavy
industrial and serial production work. During continuous
operation, the maximum welding current is 400
Ampere. The Weldkar WK MIG 5040 F Synergic is
multi-functional and works in accordance with the TIG
(scratch) and MMA principles in addition to the MIG
welding principle. Moreover, gouging is among the
possibilities. The detachable wire feed unit is positioned
above the power source. The 4-roll wire feed system is
one of the ways to ensure a long and trouble-free wire
feed. Connection cables (5, 10 or 20 meters) can be
used to create an increased working range. The wire
feed unit and power source are equipped with a digital
control panel on which various parameters can be easily
set and read. Among other things 2-/4-stroke switching,
soft start, burn-back, downslope, pre and post flow
gas, plate thickness, wire speed, welding voltage and
current strength. The power source is equipped with
a synergistic function. This allows the welder to set
up the machine with just one button, based on the
parameters of welding voltage and wire feed speed.
All other related parameters are matched to this. If
required, the parameters can also be adjusted manually
by the welder. The Weldkar WK MIG 5040 F Synergic is
especially suitable for long-term, intensive use with high

welding can be carried out properly and reduces wear
of the parts. With this easy-to-use Weldkar welding
machine, you can achieve a very high-quality weld. The
excellent welding properties with both thin and thick
materials, as well as the use of both solid and filled
welding wires, add an extra dimension to the versatility
of the material.
